India, China discuss management of peace, tranquility in border areas
External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar held a meeting with China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Johannesburg, Jaishankar.
Significantly, the announcement came even as Wang was representing China at the BRICS NSAs (National Security Advisers) meeting in South Africa. He also held a meeting with India’s NSA Ajit Doval on the sidelines.

Calling India a "very important partner", Kuwait's Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya on Wednesday heaped praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the West Asian nation believes that the Indian leader is one of the wisest persons in the world.
Both ministers acknowledged that the prolongation of the current situation in the border areas is not in the interest of either side.
