77th anniversary of Poonch link-up with India celebrated
The 77th link-up anniversary of Poonch with the rest of India was on Friday celebrated by the Army and civilian population of the border region.
The UAE Embassy in India has launched a new mobile app aimed at helping its nationals visiting India and also Indians visiting that country, the Gulf nation’s Ambassador to India Ahmed Albanna said on Tuesday.
Addressing the media here, Albanna said that the mission was trying to offer its various services electronically and the new app also conforms to the Digital India initiative.
“The Embassy has created two applications on Apple Store and Google Play where you can access that under the name of United Arab Emirates Embassy, New Delhi,” he said.

“The app is dedicated to provide information and the information actually serves both UAE nationals visiting India and also Indians trying to gather information to visit the UAE and also those going to work in the UAE.”
The UAE is home to around 2.8 million expatriate Indians, man of whom are blue collar workers in the infrastructure sector.
According to an Embassy statement, the new app is more like a map having key destinations and points along with proper guidance to help process and resolve issues.
For the UAE nationals, it provides services such as ‘Twajudi’ (service aimed at helping any national return in case of emergency), and help in the case of loss of passport.
“For Indian nationals, the app provides visa and attestation information to help in bridging the gap information to smoothening the overall process,” the statement said.
