Afghanistan: WHO reports surge in acute respiratory disease
According to the WHO report, more than 206,000 people were infected with respiratory diseases during this period, out of which 506 lost their lives.

At least one person was killed in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan’s Paktia province on Saturday, the police said.
“One civilian lost his life and another was injured when the car they were travelling in ran over a mine on a road in Gardez city,” police spokesman of the province Sardar Wali told Xinhua news agency.

An investigation into the incident was underway, the official said.
