To commemorate ‘Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ occasion, BSF South Bengal Frontier has organized a Maitree Football match on Wednesday in the area of Border Out Post Shikarpur, 86 Battalion, Sector Berhampur.

Dr. Atul Fulzele, IPS, Inspector General, South Bengal Frontier (BSF) inaugurated the match. Rajesh Kumar Mishra, Deputy Inspector General, Sector Berhampur and other high officials were present to watch the match. A large number of spectators from nearby villages also witnessed the match.

Besides, Bimlendu Singh Roy, MLA Karimpur, members of Zilla Parishad, village heads of nearby villages, local police, doctors of Shikarpur Primary Health Center, reporters from national and local news channels were also present.

The match was inaugurated after a colorful program at 3 pm. In 90 minutes match, BSF team played very well and won by 5-0. The match ended in a cordial atmosphere.

Finally Dr. Atul Fulzele, IPS, Inspector General, South Bengal Frontier BSF and Brigadier Mohiuddin Mohammad Jabed, PSC Director BGB concluded the ceremony with their speeches. The people of both the countries appreciated the Maitree Football match and demanded to continue this type of event in future.
