At least three people were killed after a small aircraft crashed into the backyard of a home in a residential neighbourhood near Philadelphia, US on Thursday, according to police.
Police in Upper Moreland Township said that at around 6:20 am on Thursday morning they received a 911 call from a resident on Minnie Lane who reported that a small plane had crashed in the backyard.

During a press briefing, Upper Moreland Police Chief Mike Murphy said, “(Officers) discovered a single-engine Beechcraft (F33A) Bonanza aircraft had crashed in a wooded area behind the homes here along Minnie Lane” (sic).
Local police said in a statement that they received a call from a resident “reporting a plane crash in their backyard.” “The police department was able to determine that the plane had three passengers, all of whom were deceased,”
The victims were a husband and wife, aged 60 and 54 respectively, and their 19-year-old daughter, the statement added.
No one on the ground was injured, Upper Moreland Police Chief Michael Murphy told AFP.
