Afghan singer who sought refuge in Pakistan, killed
Hasiba Noori, a renowed Afghan singer who had sought refuge in Pakistan, was killed in an attack by unidentified assailants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, sources said.
The Taliban militant group has not responded to the report so far.
At least 28 people were killed after an airstrike hit Afghanistan’s Faryab province, a military source said on Sunday.
Hanif Rezai, spokesman of army Corps 209 Shaheen said, “Based on a confirmed tip-off, an Afghan Air Force A-29 aircraft targeted a Taliban hideout in Bilchiragh district, Faryab province that killed 28 armed Taliban”.
The targeted militants were planning attacks against security forces.

Violence has escalated in the previously peaceful northern region over a past few years as Afghan security forces push against the militants in the south and east regions.
The Taliban militant group has not responded to the report so far.
