At least 19 people were killed and more than 24 wounded in a car bomb explosion at a crowded marketplace in Iraq on Tuesday, an official said.
The blast took place at 4 p.m. near a grocery market in the northern Iraqi city of Tuz Khurmatu, a police source told Efe news.

Iraqi government forces gained control over Tuz Khurmatu from Kurdish troops as part of a military offensive in October.
