Xiaomi alongside Redmi Note 5, Note 5 Pro also launched a smart LED TV called ‘Mi TV 4’ in India. At just 4.9mm slim, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 is the world’s thinnest LED TV with 55-inch 4K UHD panel with with HDR10 support.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 boasts of a frameless design and comes with metal finished back. The Mi TV supports Android OS-based Patch Wall UI layer on top that can curate content in one place.
It comes with a 11-button universal remote that combines Smart TV and Set Top Box (STB) experience seamlessly with Mi IR Cable, says compnay. It supports all the major STB from over 35,000 DTH/ Cable operators across 48 different brands. It also has support for Indian languages (12 system and 14 content), apart from English.
“We are excited to kick off 2018 with three exciting products – Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note Pro and Mi LED TV 4 and hope that Mi Fans will enjoy the new technology,” said Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi India Head and Global VP.
Xiaomi has partnered with Hotstar, SunNxt, Voot, Sony LIV, Hungama and more to provide content for users in India. The company says that the Mi TV 4 already has over 500,000 hours of content, and out-of-which almost 80 percent of all content will be free to watch.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 is priced at Rs. 39,999 and will be available exclusively from Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores starting. February 22. Consumers also get free 3 months subscription of Sony LIV and Hugama, along with a free Mi IR cable.
