The Elon Musk-led microblogging platform, Twitter, improved a number of features with the launch of “Twitter Blue” in order to “enhance the experience” for users, one of which permits “longer video upload.”
“Share more content with your followers. Twitter Blue subscribers can upload videos up to ~60 minutes long up to 2GB file size (1080p) (web only),” a message on Twitter Blue’s official page read.
According to a report by TechCrunch, prior to the update, service Twitter users could only upload videos up to 512 MB in size, 10 minutes in length, and 1080p resolution to the microblogging platform.
Even if users use Twitter from an iOS or Android device, the duration and file size is standard.
View count for tweets, a feature that displays how many people have viewed a specific tweet, was previously introduced by Twitter.
Announcing this new feature in a tweet, Elon Musk wrote, “Twitter is rolling out View Count, so you can see how many times a tweet has been seen! This is normal for video.”
However, not every tweet will have a visible view count, according to a Twitter FAQ. The exceptions include Community tweets, Twitter Circle tweets, and “older” tweets because the data for them won’t be available.
