The “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is set to release this week around the world but astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) will also be able to watch it in the coming days, NASA said.
“(I) can confirm the crew will be able to watch it on orbit,” NASA Public Affairs Officer Dan Huot told Inverse.
The astronauts aboard the space station typically get movies as digital files and can play them back on a laptop or a standard projector that is currently aboard.
It is possible that the movie will be sent inside the SpaceX dragon capsule that’s headed to the ISS on Friday, the Inverse report said.
According to a report in The Verge, enjoying movies on board the ISS is not unusual and the space station is stocked with an extensive digital library of more than 500 titles, including classics and newer hits.
Meanwhile in Mumbai, OnePlus is set to announce pricing of the Star Wars Limited Edition of OnePlus 5T. The company is hosting a special “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” movie screening event.
So far, OnePlus 5T only comes in Midnight Black colour option in India. The company has officially announced that the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition will go on sale starting December 15 across all channels including Amazon.in, oneplusstore.in and OnePlus experience zones in Bangalore and Noida.’
