Apple’s support page recently stated that the battery replacement for the iPhone 13 or older iPhone models will get costlier from March 1.

on its support page, Apple disclosed that it intends to raise the price of battery replacement by $20 which roughly estimates to Rs 1,657. iPhone batteries are not covered in the warranty. Beginning on March 1, the revised prices will be in effect.

However, AppleCare+ users can get their iPhone batteries replaced at no extra cost if the battery has less than 80% of its original capacity.

Apple wrote in the support page that “the current out-of-warranty battery service fee will apply until the end of February 2023. Effective March 1, 2023, the out-of-warranty battery service fee will be increased by $20 (approximately Rs 1654) for all iPhone models prior to iPhone 14,”

At present, Apple charges Rs. 6,000 or $69 for a new battery for the iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11, and iPhone X that are out of warranty. While the price of the iPhone SE, iPhone 8, and several earlier devices is roughly Rs. 4,000 or $49.

This is the approximate cost that the website can claim for new  battery swapping in any older iPhone model. If there are other major faults, replacing the battery might cost more. Only those users who do not have an AppleCare or Applecare+ membership will be impacted by the price increase.

Last year, on September 7, Apple introduced a new iPhone lineup. however the tech giant does not formally disclose the phone’s battery life. In a previous report, it was stated that the iPhone 14 had a 3,279mAh battery.

On the other hand, the iPhone 14 Pro houses a 3,200mAh battery, whereas the iPhone 14 Pro Max features a 4,323mAh battery.

It is expected that Apple will launch the forthcoming iPhone 15 Series with new A17  Bionic chip-set and with  enhance battery life with better efficiency while doing heavy task,  but the next series might be cheaper in comparison to latest 14 series, as the current one is not meeting the sales expectations of Apple.
