Many Google Pixel 6 users have reported a mysterious black dot appearing on their devices this week.
The Google Pixel 6 series was introduced in 2021, but over the course of a year and a half, the device faced backlash due to a number of software-related glitches.
While the majority of these were quickly resolved, it appears that some Pixel 6 units are currently experiencing an unexplained hardware issue as well.

A few Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro variant users made statements on online public forum website Reddit, that they were experiencing a strange glitch that interfered with their displays. One user of the Pixel 6 series reported that his Pixel 6 Pro display had a black circle or area; many people reported the same problem.
Another user reported that his Pixel 6 phone has 12 minor dots over the screen. A different person responded, “I got two spots too, and I know what’s in my case; I vape, and I witnessed how a drop of liquid landed on the screen and created the stain; it looks like the oil protector of the screen is defective.”
It’s unclear whether the issue is the users’ responsibility or if it’s a hardware flaw that gradually manifests. Many claim that the black spot or stain is only visible from a certain angle.
However, it appears that these claims are only limited to specific numbers of people.
