The Global Smartphone Brand Infinix, on 20 December, unveiled its much-awaited Zero series smartphones before closing the product inventory for the year 2022.

The Zero series phones consist of the Zero 20, an entry-level budget device, and the Zero Ultra, Infinix first flagship-level device. The brand has introduced both smartphones, aimed at creators, who are constantly capturing images and video on the go.

The camera modules on both devices stand out: the Zero Ultra has a 200 MP rear camera and the Zero 20 has a 60 MP front camera with OIS. According to the company, both phones have set a benchmark in terms of camera hardware, especially considering the price range.

In addition, the Zero Ultra supports ultra-fast charging technology, which ensures that the battery is fully charged in just 12 minutes. The Zero Ultra is created with a cosmic-toned body.

The back panel of the device features universal Kármán lines that represent futuristic cosmic energy. Meanwhile, the Infinix Zero 20 has a slim design. The device’s Metal-Frame and matte and leathery texture makes it comfortable and lightweight, especially when vlogging or capturing on the go.

The biggest flex of these phones is their low price. The Zero 20 costs Rs 15,999, while Infinix’s first flagship smartphone, the Zero Ultra, costs Rs 29,999.

Both the Zero Ultra and Zero 20 will be available for purchase on Flipkart on the 25 December and 29 December. The package also includes two years of security updates and one Android update for both devices, as well as a six-month screen replacement warranty for the ZERO Ultra.

The Infinix Zero Ultra has 256 GB of storage, while the Zero 20 has 128 GB. Zero Ultra is available in the Coslight Silver and Genesis Noir colour schemes. Meanwhile, the Zero 20 is available in three new colours: glitter gold, green fantasy, and space grey.

The Zero Ultra features a tall 6.8″ FHD+ 3D Curved Display that allows for a firm grip and a wide-angle view. With a punch hole at the top, the large display has a 120 Hz dynamic refresh rate and 360 Hz touch sampling to ensure a smooth viewing experience. On the other side, Infinix’s Zero 20 features a 6.7″ AMOLED cinematic display with a teardrop notch and a 90 Hz refresh rate.

In terms of camera modules, the Zero Ultra has a triple camera setup: a 200 MP main sensor, a 13 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2 MP depth sensor. It is also packed with a 32-MP front-facing camera. This time, Infinix has used Samsung’s 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor.

Meanwhile, the Zero 20 has the same triple camera setup as the Zero 10, as well as the world’s first 60MP+OIS front camera.

Talking about the battery, users can fuel the device’s 4500 mAh battery to 100% in just 12 minutes using Infinix’s ultra-fast 180W Thunder Charge support in the all-new Zero Ultra. TUV-SUD Rheinland certifications have been obtained for the 180-watt Thunder Charge.

The Zero Ultra is powered by a 6-nanometer based MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G processor that consumes very little power. It also includes 5G, WiFi 6, and a dual-band 5G SIM. The Ultra has 12 5G bands, allowing for broad 5G network connectivity.

The Zero 20 smartphone, on the other hand, is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor. Both smartphones run a year-old version of Android 12 with the XOS 12 skin on top.

The Zero Ultra is only available in 256 GB of storage space with no external storage upgrade option, and the Zero 20 is only available in 128 GB. The increased RAM capacity allows the in-house 8 GB RAM to be increased to 13 GB RAM.

This time, Infinix is picking up the pace with other smartphone competitors. Just a few months ago, Infinix launched the Hot 20 5G series lineup with budget pricing. But, with the Zero series’ aggressive pricing and long list of added features, the company has played its cards really well on paper.
