Satya Nadella-led Microsoft on Friday publicised the best games list, which came from their end. According to the Microsoft, these games are so popular that everyone  wants to get  their hands on to wrap up the year

Starting with the racing game of the year, the latest edition of the “Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels”, the newest edition to the Forza racing game series, was launched in 2021. This game has been specially enhanced for Xbox Series X/S.

The racing game set  the standard for next-generation gaming with photorealistic graphics, accurate acoustics, a lifelike atmosphere, and extensive detailing.

The following in line is “Sea of Thieves,” which allows players to set sail as pirates alongside other ships, plunder islands, battle a massive Kraken, and sink other vessels.

One of the best survival games of the year is “Grounded,” which recounts the tale of a teenager who has shrunk and is attempting to grow up while navigating the reactive environment of Grounded. It challenges players’ creativity with fresh animals, settings, and surprises.

“Gears 5”, the third-person shooter game which was first released in 2019 is packed with horror, action, and power gives gamers the satisfaction of a quick reload, also the captivating storytelling, shooting mechanics, and excellent graphics give the game an edge.

Its sixth instalment to the franchise and direct sequel to Gears of War 4, continuing the story of the Coalition of Ordered Government’s (COG) fight against an enemy force — the Swarm.

Lastly, a murder mystery game, “Pentiment”, inspired by medieval art and weaves an unmatched narrative, lets players shape their character into anything from a pious theologian to a rebellious hooligan in 16th-century Italy.

Diving deep into history, this game has charm and appeal from and for the ages, said the company.

In 2022,  Microsoft made some big announcements for its game and gaming division, the biggest one was to give the right of retention for Call of Duty to rival gaming company PlayStation.  

“I confirmed our intent to honour all existing agreements upon acquisition of Activision Blizzard and our desire to keep ‘Call of Duty’ on PlayStation,”  CEO of Microsoft Gaming unit, Phil Spencer had said in a tweet.
