Asus launches new laptops with thin, light profiles in India
Taiwanese tech giant Asus on Wednesday launched its next-generation (2024 version) Zenbook S 13 OLED and Vivobook 15 laptops, with thin and light profiles in India.
Asus had introduced a total of six smartphones – Zenfone 4, Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 Max, Zenfone 4 Max Pro and Zenfone 4 Selfie (two variants) – in Taipei last month.
Taiwan-based consumer electronics giant ASUS on Thursday launched three smartphones in Zenfone 4 selfie series of smartphones in India.
The company had introduced a total of six smartphones – Zenfone 4, Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 Max, Zenfone 4 Max Pro and Zenfone 4 Selfie (two variants) – in Taipei last month.

However, only three selfie-centric smartphones were launched in India which would go on sale starting September 21 on Flipkart.

Launched at Rs 23,999, ‘ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro’ is the flagship model and features the world’s “most advanced” 24MP “DuoPixel” selfie camera.
The camera features Sony IMX362 dual-pixel image sensor with 1.4µm pixel size and an ƒ/1.8 aperture.
The 16MP primary camera features Sony IMX351 sensor and supports EIS and 4K videos along with RAW file support.
‘ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro’ is powered by a 2GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM and desktop-grade Adreno 506 graphics.
It is powered by a 3000mAh battery with support for fast-charging.
The 5.5-inch full-HD AMOLED display comes with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection with 500 nits brightness.
The smartphone would be available in rouge red, sunlight gold and deep sea black colour variants.
The Rs 14,999 ‘Zenfone 4 Selfie’ with dual-selfie cameras features 20MP main sensor with an ƒ/2.0 aperture and 8MP 120° superwide-angle front camera with softlight LED flash.
‘ZenFone 4 Selfie’ (dual camera version) features a 16MP primary camera with LED flash and phase-detection auto focus.
The camera features include pro mode that enables exposures of up to 32 seconds, and full-HD video recording with electronic image-stabilisation (EIS), the company said during the launch here.
The device would retail in sunlight gold, rose pink and deep sea black colours.
The 5.5-inch HD IPS display is topped with 2.5D curve glass . Powering the device is an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 4GB RAM and with 64GB internal storage. A 3000mAh battery powers the device.
Launched at Rs 9,999, ‘ZenFone 4 Selfie’ features 13MP rear camera with phase-detection auto focus. There is a ƒ/2.0 aperture 13MP front camera that can capture superwide 140° panoramic selfies with the “Selfie Panorama” mode, the company said.
The device sports 5.5-inch HD IPS display ad is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The storage can be further expanded to 2TB via a dedicated MicroSD card slot. A 3000mAh battery powers the smartphone.
