The release of iOS 11.0.2 OTA update on Tuesday notes the fix for should ‘crackling sounds’ on iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus as well as addresses an issue that could cause some photos to become hidden. It also fixes an email bug where attachments in S/MIME encrypted emails would not open.
It’s still not clear what exactly triggered ‘crackling sounds’ on iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, but with an update fixing the issue suggests it was merely a software problem.
