Oppo has announced that for particular premium models, 4 OS updates and 5 years of security fixes are planned. This is consistent with the pledge that OnePlus made earlier this year.
This upgrade timetable, which Samsung stretched back to their 2021 flagships, was initially made available by the company. With only 3 OS updates and 5 years of fixes, Google is falling behind.

Returning to Oppo’s most recent OS, with ColorOS 13, 33 Oppo models have received the update internationally, which is a record-breaking number (50% more than ColorOS 12 for instance).

Due to this, it has been able to reach three times as many people as ColorOS 12 did in its first four months of availability.
The largest and quickest upgrade rollout in ColorOS history is now v13.
And the quickest distribution of any OTA update for any ColorOS version to date occurred when Oppo’s focused efforts to provide ColorOS 13 to existing phones were announced on August 18
Even more exciting news that comes with this statement is that Oppo will begin to extend the software support for a few of its flagship devices in 2023.
