In the Lok Sabha polls, the TDP is leading in 16 seats, while the YSRCP has the lead in only 4 seats and BJP three seats as of now. There are 25 Lok Sabha seats in total in the southern state.
Jana Sena is leading in 17 and BJP in 7. Most of the YSRCP ministers are trailing though YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is leading in the Pulivendula seat. YSRCP candidates were seen leaving the counting centres as the NDA took an unassailable lead. Celebrations have begun in TDP headquarters.
Earlier, the TDP supporters had forcibly hoisted the party flag on the YSRCP MLA’s house. The Rayalaseema region and Palnadu are known for factional politics and violence.
Clashes continued to take place between TDP and YSRCP supporters at several places in the state.
Andhra Pradesh, which goes to polls on Sunday in the fourth phase, is witnessing a neck-and-neck fight between the ruling YSRCP and the NDA alliance, comprising the BJP, Jana Sena and the TDP, with both sides evenly poised.
