The high-level committee constituted by NGT for rejuvenation of Yamuna has chalked out a six month action plan till June 2023, with monthly targets, and the same will be monitored on weekly basis.
The Haryana government has prepared the Yamuna Action Plan, which envisages control of pollution of all 11 drains that discharge treated or untreated effluents into the Yamuna river, the Assembly was told on Wednesday.
Khattar said plans should also be made on a large-scale so that maximum reuse of treated water can be done in sectors like irrigation, thermal power plants, industrial and horticulture.
Union Minister for Water Resources Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stone for these projects along with Union Environment and Forest Minister Harsh Vardhan and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal here on Friday
