“The only avenue of judicial intervention to protect the rights of the media has also been limited,” the party said.
The three were charged under Article 505 (b), which criminalizes the publication of reports that could cause "fear or alarm to the public" and carries a maximum punishment of two years' imprisonment.

All three journalists killed in the January-April period were mowed down by vehicles.
