The saffron party had given tickets to six women in MP, and they all won the general election. This is the highest number of women from the BJP to go to the Parliament from MP ever.
In all, 412 candidates contested the poll. The Congress had fielded three women candidates while the BJP put up six women contestants.
The party further alleged that Congress is understandably trying to emulate the TMC and said that their party is the first to give 40 per cent seats to women in the Lok Sabha elections.
