The just-concluded Winter Session of Parliament was unproductive and the least effective in over a year. It ran from November 25 to December 20 and saw frequent disruptions, including protests and arguments.
Himachal Pradesh Assembly was adjourned sine die concluding the Winter Session at Tapovan (Dharamshala) on Saturday.
Before the two Houses were adjourned, the two important bills relating to 'One Nation, One Election' were referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee.
Trinamul Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, attending the winter session of parliament, has written on his X-handle: “The BJP’s brazen attempt to introduce a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT BILL today, WHILE THE CONSTITUTION DEBATE IS STILL UNDERWAY in Parliament, is nothing short of an unashamed attack on democracy.”
Referring to election results, the DMK MP had said used unparliamentory word to describe the Hindi heartland states.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said the all-party meeting, chaired by Defence Minister and Lok Sabha Deputy Leader Rajnath Singh, was attended by 30 leaders from 23 parties. The session will run for 19 days and have 15 sittings.
The budget of Rs 28,760.67 crore was presented in the House by state Finance Minister Suresh Khanna. The supplementary budget is expected to be approved on December 1, the last day of the session.
