The government has convened an all-party meeting on November 24 ahead of the Winter Session of Parliament which starts on Monday.
The Winter Session of the Parliament is set to commence from November 25 and will go on till December 20, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced here on Tuesday.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has asserted that the mass suspension of the Opposition MPs from both Houses of Parliament during the Winter Session seems to be "predetermined and premeditated by" the BJP-led government at the Centre.
Briefing newspersons on the Winter Session of Parliament which concluded on Thursday night, he said, "They themselves came and said to suspend them. Congress Party has such a low-level strategy."
Speaking at a ‘Save Democracy’ protest at Jantar Mantar, the Congress leader said, “They are those who call themselves patriots… ‘Hawa nikal gayi unki…’ (Their bravado had gone into the thin air…) We saw it all.”
The budget of Rs 28,760.67 crore was presented in the House by state Finance Minister Suresh Khanna. The supplementary budget is expected to be approved on December 1, the last day of the session.

The Cabinet also approved a unique one-time settlement scheme titled "The Haryana One Time Settlement Scheme for Recovery of Outstanding Dues 2023," with a view to move ahead in the GST (Goods and Services Tax) regime with lesser baggage of arrears and litigations.
The all-party meeting is usually convened a day before the session begins, but this time it has been preponed by a day due to the counting of votes for five states on 3 December where polls are underway.
As part of these changes, leaders will no longer be allowed to bring mobile phones into the House.
