A wildfire that broke out on Saturday in the mountains spanning Japan's Kofu City and Fuefuki City in Yamanashi prefecture remained uncontained, local media reported on Sunday.
Multiple wildfires have ravaged Los Angeles County, fueled by high winds and dry conditions. Emergency services have been working tirelessly to contain the flames since Tuesday.

Since the beginning of the year, there have been over 8,100 wildfires that have burned well over 3.9 million acres in California.
This fire season, California has witnessed 8,136 fires that have scorched 3,754,729 acres of land.
