India's wholesale price index-based inflation eased to 10.7 per cent in September as against 12.41 per cent recorded in the previous month, as per the government data released on Friday. Despite the decline, Whole Price Index (WPI) based inflation has, however, remained in double digits for the 18th month in a row.
The inflation based on Wholesale Price Index (WPI) was 1.55 per cent in November 2020.
Overall, wholesale vegetable prices in November rose 45.32 per cent against a rise of 38.91 per cent.
On Monday, official data showed that the rate fell to 3.80 per cent in December 2018 from 4.64 per cent in November.
"Build up inflation rate in the financial year so far was 3.87 per cent compared to a build up rate of 1.50 per cent in the corresponding period of the previous year."
