The government has procured 252 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) of wheat so far during the ongoing Rabi marketing season (2023-24).
The government has said that the procurement of wheat during rabi marketing season (RMS) 2023-24 has already surpassed the total procurement of RMS 2022-23.
Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Monday said more than 54 lakh metric tons wheat has been procured in the state and Rs 5,800 crore has been paid directly to the farmers in their bank accounts.
