Chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday laid the foundation stone for a 1,600 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant at Salboni in West Midnapore of Junglemahal, calling it a landmark initiative in the state's journey towards industrial and infrastructure growth.
Chief minister Mamata Banerjee announced that the state government would unveil two thermal power plants in Salboni for which she would be at Salboni, West Midnapore, on 21 April to lay the foundation stone, to be set up by the Jindals.
