According to police, a PCR call regarding the stabbing incident was received at the Moti Nagar police station. The injured man, Raja Babu, was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, a police official said.
While the local police were patrolling in the main market at around 11 pm, they came to know that two persons fired on the sweet shop, stated cops.
According to police officials, PCR calls about the stabbing of the two women were received from the Santgarh area of Police Station Tilak Nagar at around 2:30 pm.
Based on prima facie, it is suspected to be a case of murder, say police.
Of a total of criminals nabbed from January this year till March 31, 50 are robbers, 90 snatchers, 25 burglars, and 359 thieves, the police officer said.
While the investigation into the case is on, the identity of the victim is yet to be established.
