Repolling had to take place on Monday in nearly 700 booths in 19 districts of the State where there were allegations of irregularities or violence had taken place.
The three-tier panchayat elections in 20 districts were marked by widespread violence, looting of ballots papers and rigging.
Earlier in the day, while the Governor was on his way to cast his vote in the North 24-Parganas, Bose was stopped by a few CPI(M) candidates. The CPI(M) candidates shared their concerns with the Governor.
In fresh violence ahead of the July 8 panchayat polls, clashes had broken out between the TMC and BJP workers in Dinhata, resulting in the death of Babu Haque, who was identified as a TMC worker.
The state boasts of a large Bengali community of more than eight lakh people who are settled here since the days of the Nizam.
On 16 April, Governor CV Anand Bose, who is also chairman of EZCC, started a cultural programme at Raj Bhavan. The utsav was continuation of that.
He met the teachers there and delivered a brief speech on the spot. He also reportedly spoke to students of the university. Students from the SFI union submitted a deputation to the governor.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also earlier spoke to West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose and took stock of the situation in Howrah where violence broke out.
