The state BJP chief was addressing a joint press briefing with BJP MP from Hooghly Locket Chatterjee in connection with a video of two women being paraded in the nude in Manipur, which had surfaced online and shared widely.
BJP state chief Sukanta Majumdar alleged that "TMC hoologanism crossed all limits" and that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee along with the Chief Electoral Officer of the state were "responsible" for murders.
Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, and BJP national vice-president Dilip Ghosh were also present.
He further stated that the review petition filed by TMC against the Kolkata High Court order to deploy central forces in the state raised serious doubts.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also earlier spoke to West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose and took stock of the situation in Howrah where violence broke out.
