West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee (WBPCC) president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury today described the tragic death of a young trainee doctor at R G Kar Medical College as a moment that has "opened the eyes of the people of West Bengal."
The WBPCC took the decision immediately after Binoy Tamang released a video message today extending his support to the BJP candidate Raju Bista this morning.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Congress MP and opposition leader in the Parliament, on Saturday expressed desire to project Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay as chief minister to fight elections in the state.
