It pertains to six-point suggestions to the government on how to improve state-run healthcare services.
Thousands of people on Wednesday joined the mega protest rally organised by the West Bengal Junior Doctors’ Forum (WBJDF), in support of their demands over the brutal rape and murder of a trainee doctor at R G Kar Medical College & Hospital.
West Bengal Junior Doctors’ Forum (WBJDF), the umbrella body of junior doctors protesting against the R G Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder case, announced the resumption of complete cease-work throughout the state from Tuesday.
Hardly five days after joining work in state-run medical colleges’ essential emergency services, the junior doctors on Thursday sent yet another email to the state chief secretary, Manoj Pant, reminding him their unresolved demands, discussed during their earlier meeting at state secretariat on 18 September.
The differences of opinion between the representatives of WBJDF and the state government could be felt after the formal meeting, which started at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, concluded within little over two hours and the deliberations between the two parties over finalising the minutes of the meeting continued for over three hours after the conclusion of the meeting.
A fresh communique will be forwarded to the Chief Secretary Manoj Pant on this count where the forum will seek discussion on their unfulfilled demands.

Till now, WBJDF was being represented by senior advocate at the apex court, Geeta Luthra.
