Solanki, who is on a ‘Gaon Dehat Bachao Yatra’, demanding solution to the problems of rural Delhi, has organised a panchayat in Ranikheda village and alleged that the villagers were unable to do farming in the area as their crops were being destroyed every year due to waterlogging in the fields.
Jawans of NDRF and Andal police have recovered the scooty, which had drowned yesterday at the Singaran river from here today, while the rider Debashish Dutta (58) is still missing.
“The Karol Bagh Zone of MCD has launched a special drive for desilting of all uncovered and slab covered drains to resolve the problem of water logging in the area. The zonal staff have de-silted all the drains in all 13 wards of the zone,” the MCD said on Friday.
