PCB performs ‘major surgery’, sacks Wahab Riaz, Abdul Razzaq from selection panel

“There is no pressure on me. I had made a decision and I am revoking it. In India, we have examples of Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja,” Riaz said.
Butt represented Pakistan in 33 Tests, 78 ODIs and 24 T20Is. He made 5,209 runs spanning the three formats with 11 international centuries. He was in the T20 World Cup winning squad in 2009.
Wahab Riaz will be joined by Mohammad Abass, Naseem Shah, Usman Shinwari, Shaheen Afridi, Sohail Khan and Faheem Ashraf in the pace department.
Upon arrival in England, the Pakistan squad will undergo testing before completing their 14-day isolation period, during which they will be allowed to train.
Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik who has been granted permission to join the team late has not been tested yet along with Cliffe Deacon and Waqar Younis.
The 34-year-old last made a Test appearance against Australia in October 2018.
Pakistan is scheduled to play three Test matches and as many T20 International matches in England.
According to rumours, Wahab and Aamir have been punished by PCB for deciding to quit red-ball cricket.
"He is a top-class performer and this is the right time to groom him," Pakistan's coach said.
