National carrier Air India on Wednesday said that flights operated by Vistara will start using the flight code 'AI2' after the merger of the two airlines next month.
Ahead of the merger, Air India said Vistara experience will remain, and the the flights operated with Vistara aircraft will have numbers starting with the prefix 'AI2'. Vistara's planes, crew and service will continue to operate as before.
The threat call came while the flight was midair. Authorities at the Srinagar airport took all precautionary measures.
Amid its ongoing operational challenges, Vistara Airlines on Sunday announced a "carefully" planned reduction in its flight operations.
They also said that the concerns expressed by the Vistara pilots are not isolated incidents but rather indicative of systemic issues that extend across various Tata Group aviation entities.
It was pointed out, that after such incidents, checks are made to ascertain whether the aircraft sustained damages.
Vistara will not be paying any annual increment in April this year but will review it in October.
Thereafter, if the Tata bid is deemed accepted, the 90 day period for handover shall commence and end by November 30 or at the most, by December 31.
