Centenary celebrations of historic Vaikom Satyagraha begins

The satyagraha, from 30 March 1924 to 23 November 1925, in erstwhile Kingdom of Travancore, is considered the first-ever organised struggle to ensure the basic rights of the socially oppressed in the country.
