The Opposition has termed the budgetary proposals of the Uttar Pradesh government for 2025-26 as hollow, stating that it has nothing for the poor.
The Uttar Pradesh government, on, presented a historic Budget of Rs 8.08 lakh crore for the financial year 2025-26 in the state assembly, marking the largest budget in Uttar Pradesh’s history.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Mahakumbh Nagar in Prayagraj on Sunday, where he participated in various religious and cultural programmes and engaged with revered saints.
The Central government has helped install CCTV cameras in cities including Kanpur, Lucknow, Agra, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Aligarh, Bareilly, Jhansi, Saharanpur and Moradabad.
Additionally, through likes, replies, and retweets, more than 36,000 users have expressed support for the efforts being done to industrialise Uttar Pradesh.
Efforts are being made to find out the actual dates on which the cities first came into existence to designate their respective birthdays.
“The needy people should receive the benefits of the government's welfare schemes. Those who need financial assistance from the government for their treatment, the process of their estimation should be completed fast,” Yogi said.
UP BJP president Bhupendra Choudhary said his party would discuss the issues that led to the defeat of the candidate on Khatauli assembly seat.
