The Uttar Pradesh government, on, presented a historic Budget of Rs 8.08 lakh crore for the financial year 2025-26 in the state assembly, marking the largest budget in Uttar Pradesh’s history.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Mahakumbh Nagar in Prayagraj on Sunday, where he participated in various religious and cultural programmes and engaged with revered saints.
For the operation of gaushalas, MoUs must be signed with interested NGOs while making necessary arrangements, said the chief minister.
Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a high-level meeting, had directed the UP Police and administrative officials to beef up state's security arrangements on Christmas and New Year so that the people of the state could celebrate the festivals peacefully.
All recognised schools are to open from 10 am till 2 pm for class 1 to class 8 in view of the cold wave in the state.
Special focus will be on health sector, law and order, tourism, education and infrastructure development.
The Backward Classes Commission constituted by the state government held its first meeting on Saturday and discussed policies and procedures regarding the statewide survey.
