The chief minister said this while addressing a public meeting in support of BJP candidates ahead of the civic body elections in Unnao and Rae Bareli.
The award has been given in the Best Practices to Improve the Living Environment 2022-23 category for cleanliness.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak would also address meetings in all 75 districts.
All the BJP leaders and state ministers were reluctant to speak on the issue on Sunday.
