Delhi Government has approved the appointment of 232 Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) qualified doctors in its hospitals, an important development concerning the city's healthcare sector.
As delay to appoint new Director General of Police(DGP) by Uttarakhand government continued, acting head of the state police Abhinav Kumar questioned the dominance of UPSC and union home ministry in the present selection module.

In an unprecedented move, the Centre has allowed the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to utilise Aadhaar-based authentication to verify candidates' identities voluntarily, both at the time of registration and during several stages of examinations and recruitment.
The Central probe agency filed an FIR in the matter on Tuesday, as it took over the probe into the matter, which was earlier investigated by Delhi Police.
The candidates would be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claim relating to age, educational qualifications, community, physical disability etc. at the time of the Personality Test.
The list of 112th Short Service Commission Course (NT) (for Men) also includes the names of the candidates who were recommended earlier on the basis of the result of the same examination for admission to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course(s).
The plea said the Civil Services Exam, being a recruitment examination, is altogether different from an academic examination and in the event of its postponement, there would not be any question of delay or loss of any academic session.
The civil services exam is scheduled on October 4, a date fixed after a postponement due to the coronavirus induced lockdown.
The court termed the news channel show as ‘rabid programme’ which has no factual basis and cannot be allowed in a free society.
