Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has invited Nepali citizens to participate in the Pratagraj Mahakumbh starting from January 13. The invitation was given during the first ever 'India-Nepal Tourism Mart' organized in Nepal from December 7 to10.
Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, is set to become a hub for ecotourism, drawing visitors from across the globe. The state Eco Tourism Development Board has initiated a development project to enhance tourist facilities around Udhaila Lake in Milkipur, with a budget allocation of nearly Rs 4 crore.
The first delegation from Vietnam arrived here on Wednesday as part of the initiative.
The mega event is seeing the presence of over 2500 delegates and guests from more than 150 countries.
The projects are underway in various locations, including Ayodhya, Vindhyachal Mirzapur, Naimisharanya Sitapur, Prayagraj, Maa Shakumbhari Devi Saharanpur and Shukratal Muzaffarnagar.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that a night safari is being developed near Kukrail in Lucknow.
State Culture and Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh shared this information here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said, “The aim of the festival is to raise public awareness about the conservation of water, forests, and land while promoting our harmonious coexistence with nature.”
The first phase of the survey began on 1 June and will continue until June 30. The second phase will run from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025.
Mukesh Kumar Meshram, Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Deepa Ranjan, Mission Director, UPSRLM, Eesha Priya, Special Secretary, Tourism, and other distinguished guests were present at the MoU signing ceremony.
