Reiterating the call for urgent reform of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Parvathaneni Harish, India's Permanent Representative to the UN, has said that India has underscored equal geographical representation in the permanent seat category
During the UNSC debate on "Women Building Peace in a Changing Environment," Parvathaneni Harish, India's Permanent Representative to the UN, delivered a strong Right of Reply against Pakistan.
The Security Council President Pascale Baeriswyl, who is the permanent representative of Switzerland, said her country "reiterates its full support for the work of the Secretary-General".
The four countries, which are all claimants for permanent seats in the UNSC, stressed a comprehensive reform of the Security Council as an essential part of any endeavour to make the UN better reflect contemporary geopolitical realities.
