The University Grants Commission (UGC) officially announced the amendments undertaken by the UGC in the execution of the authority granted by clauses (e) and (g) of sub-section (1) of section 26 read in conjunction with section 14 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956).
The UGC Chairman also stated that the results of the National Eligibility Test, 2023 would be released in the second week of August, said the officials.
The existing UGC guidelines permit permit the students to pursue 2 full-time academic programmes simultaneously in the physical mode.
It may be noted that a provision has been made for the affiliation of colleges in the National Education Policy.
The ministry further said that many universities have already onboarded the reform train, but there are still many who are yet to adopt and adapt to the changes.
