Only two startups in India, Shiprocket and OneCard, attained unicorn status (valuation $1 billion and above) in the July-September period. Globally, the third quarter (Q3) produced 20 unicorns and 45 per cent of them were from the software-as-a-service (SaaS) segment. No new decacorns were added in this quarter.
The Bengaluru-based fintech company would use fresh funds to boost its product portfolio towards a greater adoption of its platform by the global banking and financial services customers.
"The decade 2021-30 is expected to bring transformational changes for Indian science, technology and innovation (STI)," said the Minister.
