Startups and unicorns in India will witness substantial growth in the coming 4-5 years, and startups will increase by 10 times, Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar said.
Sitharaman underlined that India's higher education has contributed to the best of company executives globally and around 25 per cent of all start-ups in Silicon Valley are managed by "people of Indian origin".
According to Union Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, the country has risen from 300 to 70,000 startups in the last 8 years, which is a massive 20,000 percent increase.
