Bhuvnesh Kumar assumed charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on Wednesday. He is an officer of the 1995 batch IAS from the Uttar Pradesh cadre.
The Chairperson and the Members appointed shall hold office for a term of three years or up to the age of sixty-five years whichever is earlier, from the date on which they assume office.
The exercise is undertaken to make the operators aware of the latest changes in policies/procedures in the Aadhaar ecosystem and cut down errors at the operator’s level during enrolment, updates and authentication processes.
The facility can be availed under the ‘Verify email/mobile Number’ feature on the official website (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/) or through mAadhaar App.
UIDAI said the Aadhaar holders should not disclose Aadhaar OTP to any unauthorised entity and refrain from sharing m-Aahaar PIN with anyone.
These are in addition to about 52,000 Aadhaar enrolment centers run by Banks, Post Offices and State Governments, said a senior officer of the Ministry of Electronics and IT.
The Authority may prescribe procedure to archive and perform analysis, for research purposes, from aggregated and anonymised authentication transaction data in the form of circulars.
The AIMIM president also requested the Telangana Police and the UIDAI to reveal how many of those 127 listed people are Muslim and Dalit.
The 127 people have been asked to appear before the UIDAI deputy director in Hyderabad for a personal hearing on February 20.
