Union Health Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda on Wednesday accused Congress of promoting urban Naxal forces in the country and claimed that Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has allied with them.
Following the meeting, senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat expressed optimism, stating, “The impasse will soon be resolved."
“This seems to be an international conspiracy and Aaditya Thackeray seems to have become the spokesperson of Urban Naxal,” he alleged.
"Wherever there was the hand of Modi, including the Ram temple, Parliament House and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue – every work was proved to be of low quality," he alleged.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to hear on Wednesday a plea by Uddhav Thackeray against the Election Commission of India (ECI) decision recognising the Eknath Shinde faction as the official Shiv Sena.
The Supreme Court asked senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi to make the mentioning on Tuesday as no unlisted mentioning would be entertained.
Thackeray said that the election panel should be dissolved while the matter is going on in the Supreme Court.
Four days after losing the original 'Shiv Sena' name and 'Bow-and-Arrow' symbol, Shiv Sena (UBT) President Uddhav Thackeray and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar reportedly had a brief telephonic discussion on the prevalent political situation, according to sources.
The Commission observed in its order that the current constitution of the Shiv Sena party is undemocratic and has been "mutilated to undemocratically appoint people from a coterie as office bearers without any election at all".
