Union Health Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda on Wednesday accused Congress of promoting urban Naxal forces in the country and claimed that Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has allied with them.
Following the meeting, senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat expressed optimism, stating, “The impasse will soon be resolved."
“This seems to be an international conspiracy and Aaditya Thackeray seems to have become the spokesperson of Urban Naxal,” he alleged.
"Wherever there was the hand of Modi, including the Ram temple, Parliament House and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue – every work was proved to be of low quality," he alleged.
Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray removed Eknath Shinde who revolted against him and succeeded him as the new Maharashtra Chief Minister from the post of Shiv Sena leader.
Tight police security was provided to these leaders by the state government after arriving at Dabolim airport in the coastal state from Guwahati.
"I am resigning as the Chief Minister," Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray announced. He also announced his resignation as MLC too.
In view of the political upheavals along with legal, procedural issues witnessed in the past nine days, the Governor has also convened a one-day Special Session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Thursday with a single point agenda of a trust vote against Chief Minister Uddhav.
The notification comes following Leader of Opposition and former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis visited the Governor on Tuesday night after returning from Delhi, and submitted a letter to him demanding an immediate floor test.
