Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Wednesday finally lodged an official police complaint against AR Dairy which allegedly had supplied adulterated ghee for the preparation of laddu prasadam.
Meanwhile, as the controversy rages on the Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam has sought to assure devotees that the quality of laddus.
During a review meeting with his ministers and officials over the adulterated laddu issue, N. Chandrababu Naidu warned about strict action against those disturbing the sanctity of the Tirumala.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), which manages the affairs of Sri Venkateswara temple, has identified one more fake website and lodged a complaint with the police.
The donation has been made towards the expenses for the breakfast, lunch and dinner for devotees under a one day donation scheme of SV Annaprasadam Trust of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD).
“The trial run is under way in the VIP lane through which more than 300 vehicles pass a day. Technical issues are being addressed. The system will be implemented in other lanes in a phased manner. All lanes, except two, will completely go the FASTag way soon,” a temple official said.
The richest religious body in the country, the TTD has been in the news of late with reports of a cash crunch following the Covid-19 induced lockdown and the resultant freeze on contributions from the devotees.
