The Met office predicts that heavy to very heavy rainfall spells over Uttarakhand and Central India in the coming two days and isolated heavy rainfall after that is predicted.
It is estimated that more than 7 million people have been affected by the floods in the last few days.
Areas like Behala, MG Road, Park Circus, Park Street, Theatre Road, Shakespeare Sarani were under knee deep water. People had to wade through the water to reach their working places.

Mumbai's public bus service operator BEST has cancelled or diverted its operations in several routes.
The officials said that most of the casualties were reported on Wednesday from upper parts of Hazara division, where at least 19 people lost their lives while four others died in Buner district of Malakand division, reports Xinhua Dawn news.
Lidi village is one of the settlements identified by the Nepali government as having been in risk of landslide.
Search and rescue operations are being conducted continuously with officials and police personnel who are looking through the debris to find missing people.
Fifteen people, who were buried in the landslide in the district, are still missing, it added.
